Historical Context

In 628 CE, Muslims were militarily weaker than the Quraysh of Mecca. The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah seemed like a defeat - Muslims had to turn back without pilgrimage. Many companions were dismayed. At this moment of apparent weakness, the prophecy was revealed.

Fulfillment Details

In 630 CE, after Quraysh violated the treaty, the Prophet marched on Mecca with 10,000 followers. Instead of vengeance (the Arabian norm), he declared general amnesty. The city was taken without bloodshed. Former enemies who had tortured Muslims were forgiven - unprecedented in Arabian history.

Prophetic Precision

The verse specified: 1) Entry into the Sacred Mosque - fulfilled. 2) In safety (آمنين) - no battle occurred. 3) Heads shaved and hair shortened - the pilgrimage rites were performed. 4) Not fearing anyone - former enemies became allies. Every detail was precisely fulfilled.
